Here are quotes that resonated with me from the media presentation: Interconnections Part 2
Louise Derman-Sparks: Professor Emertius
“It became my passion to make sure that all children were taught in environments and ways that truly nurture their ability to grown and learn. (Passion)
Sandy Escobido: Deputy Field Director
"We as professionals in Early Childhood have an opportunity to shape a child's life for the better." (Motivation)
Raymond Hernandez MS Ed: Executive Director
"Helping them (Parents) learn about the resources for their children to be able to go to school and know that there is more to life than just what is in their neighborhood." (Motivation)
I love the quote from Louise Derman-Sparks: Professor Emertius. Children learn in so many different ways. There are visual learners, musical learners, kinesthetic learners, ect. I personally learn the best kinesthetically. I was always able to learn the other ways but I learned best kinesthetically. Whenever I would study for a test I would touch different parts of my arm or leg to help me remember the information. Everybody learns differently and it is important for teachers to realize that not all students learn the same way. Children can truly grow if their best learning style is identified.
ReplyDeleteI really like your first quote from Ms. Derman-Sparks. I am new to this field. My passion is growing more and more, as I continue my studies in the early childhood field. I appreciate the truthfulness of these quotes. I can tell that each individual has a heart for children and families. I can also see your passion for youth in choosing these quotes as they truly speak to the heart. I wish the best success for you as you continue on this academic journey.
